Authentic techniques, performed on a traditional Thai mat
The Treatment
A genuine Thai massage is not an oil massage with a different name. It is a structured, rhythmic practice of assisted stretching and pressure-point work that has been refined in Thailand over centuries — and at Next Balance Spa it is performed by therapists trained in that tradition.
Your therapist works along the body's energy lines, called sen, using palms, thumbs, forearms and feet to apply steady, considered pressure. This is combined with gentle assisted stretches that open the hips, shoulders and spine — the areas that quietly tighten during long days at a desk or behind the wheel.
The treatment is performed fully clothed on a traditional Thai mat rather than an oil bed. We provide freshly laundered loose cotton clothing so you can move comfortably through every stretch. No oil is used, which means you can return to work or dinner straight afterwards without needing to shower.
Pressure is entirely yours to set. Some guests want deep, firm work through the shoulders and hamstrings; others prefer a lighter, more meditative session. Your therapist will check in with you at the start and adjust throughout — you never have to endure a pressure you didn't ask for.

Benefits
Assisted stretching gently extends the range of motion through the hips, hamstrings, shoulders and spine.
Sustained pressure along the sen lines helps tight, overworked muscle groups let go.
Opening the chest and hip flexors counteracts the forward-rounded posture that desk work encourages.
The slow, rhythmic pace and steady breathing leave most guests profoundly settled and clear-headed.
Unlike a sedating oil massage, Thai massage tends to leave you feeling light and awake rather than sleepy.
You stay fully clothed throughout and leave ready for the rest of your day.

Who It's For
Not sure this is the right choice? Message us on WhatsApp describing how you feel and we will recommend the treatment that actually suits you — even if it is a cheaper one.

The Process
We greet you with a warm towel and herbal tea, then ask about problem areas, pressure preference and anything we should avoid.
You change into fresh cotton Thai clothing in a private room and settle onto the mat.
Your therapist works methodically from the feet upward, combining pressure-point work with assisted stretches, checking pressure as they go.
The session closes with gentle neck and scalp work. You then rest as long as you like with tea and water before heading out.
Questions
No. Thai massage is performed fully clothed. We provide freshly laundered loose cotton clothing that allows free movement through the stretches, and you change privately in your treatment room.
It shouldn't be. Firm pressure can feel intense on a tight muscle, but it should always stay within your comfort. Tell your therapist at any point and they will lighten immediately — we would far rather adjust than have you endure it.
Sixty minutes covers the full body at a good pace. Ninety minutes allows proper time on specific problem areas such as the lower back, shoulders or hips, and is what we would suggest if you carry a lot of tension.
Yes. We have both experienced male and female therapists, and you are welcome to state your preference when you book. We will confirm availability on WhatsApp before your appointment.
